I bought this kennel for my cocker spaniel. It's amazing how such a large kennel can be packaged so small! It's easy to move, and can be taken on trips. Definitely worth the money.

Great Travel Crate

I take my two labbies with me everywhere and taking their regular hard crates was impossible because of the space limitations. These crates work great! They fold up and take up essentially no space. My male is quite hyper and he is able to roll the crate around the room like a hamster on a wheel so we have to make sure at least one side is against an immovable object but that's usually not an issue. Make sure you close the zippers at the top; that makes it harder for the escape artists to get out though it can still happen. I wouldn't recommend these for a dog that is not completely crate trained. I babysat my brother's 6 month old puppy and he chewed through the netting and got out, which wouldn't have been an issue in a traditional hard crate or with a completely crate trained dog.

For cats: Great for Disaster Preparedness & New Adoptions

I use the large pop-up dog kennel (22"W x 22"H x 36"D) for disaster preparedness for our cats. It easily fits a full-size litterbox, food, water, and there's plenty of room for the cat to stretch out, lie down, or play. I bought one for each cat, just in case. So, if we have to evacuate for a hurricane, the cats have a safe pen to be in--perfect for hotel rooms or traveling in the car. These pop-up kennels are much better than a pet carrier, because with a pet carrier, you'd have to let the cat out to use a litterbox, and then you'd worry that the cat would escape. Because all their needs (litterbox, food, water) fit inside the pen, they can stay safely inside. These kennels are also great for when adopting a new kitty, who can comfortably stay inside and separate from the other kitties for a couple of days.

We had one of these crates for travel (back when we had only one dog) and it worked great. That was our second one, after our puppy broke out of and destroyed the 1st one we bought. Now both our dogs have their own and they are fine in them, but I agree with some previous posters that these are a great value though definitely not for young or anxious dogs.

We left our 90 pound goldendoodle and 4 pound toy poodle in this pop up kennel as we opened presents on Christmas Eve morning at Grandma's house. After about 2 hours the goldendoodle broke through the upper right had corner of the side window to join us. This was only the second time we used this kennel. We were very dissapointed that it broke so quickly. We will now be purchasing one of those wire foldable kennels for when we travel. However, it is great for our toy poodle as he has enough room to play with his toys in there. If I can fix the hole I will be keeping it for the little guy because it is so easy to colapse and toss in the car.

My westi just had 2 puppies, and this is a great item that helps me contain all three dogs! have to put newspaper and towels on the bottom to keep it clean everyday, but with such a price bargain and the convenient zipper door, i just love it! it's so light i can move it around very easily! I have a smaller size kennel just for her before she had the babies, i would use this kennel to keep her comfortable and safe inside my car, and when i took her to the parks, she lays inside the kennel and chill with me. I am gonna get one for each puppy when they can't share the kennel with their mom anymore^_^

Maxx Loves His Red Kennel

I was hesitant to try this kennel because Maxx is a big rambunctious boy and I really didn't think he'd be happy in it. He proved me wrong on our very first outing and we have used it consisently with good results. One of the best outcomes has been total absence of barf in the car since we started using the kennel. Between the motion of the car and his own never ending motion IN the car, Maxx would almost always get car sick on rides of more than a few blocks. We had to medicate him and even this didn't always work. Now that he is restricted to a much smaller area, he tolerates the ride beautifully. For those of you who have a problem with getting it back into it's circular shape, just collasping it works even better....very flat, and it stores just about anywhere! Money well spent for this dog lover!

Our white bichon is now pink - the coloring comes off on his fur.
The concept is great and convenient. Just needs to be in a color that doesn't come off.

I have bought 5 of the older model in green and blue and given 3 away. I do animal rescue and these fold down and fit under the back cargo area mat. I can and do pull them out to transport dogs from shelter to vet. Great for temporary use and to keep two dogs apart without the transport problems-- weight and unwieldiness-- of standard big dog crates. Looking to buy two more.

I bought the XXL size [...] for my new kitten, and I LOVE it! It is perfect for traveling, crating during the day, and night time sleeping. The XXL size is big enough for a litter box, cat bed, food and water bowls, and toys to play with. My kitten even climbs up the mesh sides, and there are no holes! I would recommend this to someone who travels often or crates their pet.
I was not able to fold it back into the circular shape, but flat works for me. This is a great value for what you get (the XXL was [inexpensive])!
